Angie's List has PROUDLY announced that they have resumed supporting Rush Limbaugh

---------------------------------------------
UPDATE 3/12/12
ALL NATIONAL SPONSORS OF THE RUSH LIMBAUGH SHOW HAVE NOW DROPPED THEIR AFFILIATION. THIS MEANS WE MUST NOW CONCENTRATE ON LOCAL ADVERTISERS. PLEASE SEE OTHER BLOGS, BY US REGION, WHICH ARE LISTING LOCAL ADS. WE ARE DOING THIS....NEED TO STAY ON TASK!!

PLEASE CONSIDER THIS --- Contact the FCC to file a complaint against Rush Limbaugh for soliciting pornography via public airwaves. This is an excellent option!! Contact information...

PLEASE NOTE: I initially deleted offensive comments from Rush Limbaugh fans because this page was not intended to be such an open forum for debate. Instead, I wanted to simply impart information in a simple and helpful fashion.

However, I have since reconsidered because I feel that when those of us who find Mr. Limbaugh simply appalling see hateful comments from Rush supporters we will simply strengthen our resolve in our efforts. Calling me vile names will not make me shrink away in fear, but will instead cause me to double...nay, triple...my efforts to put an end to hate speech in all forms. We gather strength not only from each other but from the hatred we witness in others.

Some local networks may have additional or differing advertisers. If you note an error in this listing, please post a comment and I will adjust the list accordingly. Contact information for advertisers are listed in case you are so moved to notify them concerning why you are boycotting their brand. Remember: Money talks.....and pulling money from sponsors speaking volumes! Also, if you want to make your voice heard you can try this as well -- contact Michael Soifer Msoifer@premiereradio.com who handles advertising for the program. Let him know your thoughts!

Premiere Radio Networks owns The Rush Limbaugh show -- contact their advertising department at http://premiereradio.com/pages/advertising.html.

And show them some love on Facebook!!

    1. They do indirectly, they advertise on Clear Channel.

    2. Yup, if eHarmony advertises on Clear Channel, then they are helping Limbaugh whether they knew it or not. Sorry eHarmony you sound like an interesting company, but I won't have anything to do with you as long as you are affiliated with HIM.

  3. The only one that applies to my is Autozone. I will try to find an address for them and let them know my business is going to O'Reilly (the local competitor to Autozone, not some person).

    5. Sure they don't have a "relationship" with Rush, but they do run ads on his show. This is the standard line they have been giving to all angry callers.

    6. Thanks for posting. I probably should find local sponsors too (Tampa, FL), but then I will have to listen to his show. Maybe I can pay someone to listen... :-)

  6. Unfortunately, there are businesses that believe that the end justifies the means. But people who put life and liberty first also believe that the end justifies the means. Any business that believes that their representative has the right to make personal judgments about people they don't know
should be aware that such people also make similar judgments about their products and services. Realization that your sponsorship of the Limbaugh show has caused me to reassess my opinions of your products and services.I will be sure to inform my business associates and friends
of your sponsorship. As I run an independent national business,I work with hundred of people from all walks of life and each one has hundreds of friends who feel that Limbaugh has to go.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Rush Limbaugh has to go now. I will boycott everyone of the places above. When you call these advertisers tell them you will not do business with any of them. If they say we don't support the Rush Limbaugh show tell them then to get the ads they book with Clear Channel off his show. They need to be responsible to get ads they book off the Limbaugh show. So when they tell you they are not advertising on his show they are not telling you the truth.

  8. Just sent this to ProFlowers:
    ProFlowers,

I have made purchases from you in the past. However, it is disconcerting to learn that a company selling flowers, the target market for which is women, (I would imagine), would give their advertizing dollars to such an individual as Rush Limbaugh.

This creature has spent much of his time actively promoting an anti-female agenda. This week he stepped over the line, even for him. I refuse to dignify his commentary by repeating it.

Neither I or my friends will be using your company for purchases as long as you continue to advertise on his program. It is unfortunate that you have chosen to associate yourselves with such an enemy of women.

    4. I just sent a similar email. I have been a customer for many years but while I believe in freedom of speech, I also believe in using your dollars to make an impact. I will no longer support a company that supports Rush Limbaugh or anyone with a similar agenda.

  11. while this seems like a great idea, nearly all of these advertisers are in the ClearChannel network, Clearchannel also supports many Liberal radio shows (Stephanie Miller, Thomm Hartman). I use Carbonite and ProFlowers BECAUSE they support those 2 shows. We are not going to get Rush off the air, I think a 'Sarah Palin' effect may be needed. Stop. Talking. About. This. Man. Make him irrelevant, and then he won't need advertisers.

    3. I agree with ema. The businesses target different markets in order to reach the most people. They do not advertise with Rush exclusively. I am a conservative woman, I do not agree with most of Rush's viewpoints, but I will not resort to his level of spewing vile at people with differing opinions. As far as taking his program off the air, I also don't want ANYONE to tell me what programs I can and cannot listen to. I cherish my 1st amendment right to free speech for all, even when some will prove their ignorance by practicing that same right of free speech.

      Delete
    4. Ema...You might want to check the accuracy of your assertions about Clear Channel. They are owned by Bain Capital...if that company name sounds familiar, it's because that's Mitt Romney's favorite success story. Plenty of info on their strong Republican leanings and contributions to Repubs by their top execs. Try Google. They're not who you think they are.

      Delete
    5. No one ever said free speech has no consequences. As Jon Stewart said to Dr. Laura (in Twitter-speak), after she petulantly quit her radio show,"Free speech...not mean...no criticism!" Limbaugh has had a free ride for years; now it's time for him to go.

      Delete
    6. I let ProFlowers know I wouldn't use them until they pulled from Rush, but it made me sad because Stephanie Miller introduced me.

    7. I agree. Ignore him. He will hang himself.

      Delete
    8. I disagree. Don Imus lost his job and Glen Beck his TV show because of their outrageous and over-the-top comments. Now is the time for Rush to go. Anyone who is too lazy or cynical to participate in damaging his money making machine may just as well say that they support his ranting and his attacks against this young woman. The bottom line is we are more powerful than he is. RITA ANGLE

      Delete
    9. Unfortunately, it is not Rush who is the actual problem. The problem is/are the hoards of people that hear and believe the vile sputum that flies from his lips.

    10. I've been ignoring him for years, hasn't had any affect - it's time to do something else now.

      Delete
    11. I'm sorry, ignoring him has not worked up until now. Definetly boycott these businesses and speak out about his hatred for minorities and women alike.

      Delete
    12. Ignore Rush? That's what I said 20 years ago - - it isn't working!!!!! I think another approach is now in order. Boycotts work.

      Delete
    13. Ema and others like her. You are naive to say, stop talking about him and he'll go away. He has a huge fan base of crazy listeners. Boycotts are in fact, the only way that will cause him to lose his job. He may well go somewhere else but don't use your reasoning to justify your continued use of those products.

  18. Folks, IncomeAtHome advertises on Randi Rhodes show. Carbonite advertises on Ed Schultz, Stephanie Miller & Randi Rhodes. Pro-Flowers also advertises on Ed Schultz.

I don't think they target a specific show. They pay Clear Channel to run their ads at different times. You don't have to boycott them if you like their products. (I don't, so no problem) What needs to be done is a massive e-mail, call, fax Clear Channel to get Limbaugh off the air.

I would like to boycott Clear Channel altogether since Bain (Mittens company) took over and fired almost everyone, but that is the only radio station that carries the aforementioned liberal shows.

    ReplyDelete

    1. All you have to say is that you will NOT buy their product until they call Clear Channel and insist that their ads NOT be used during Limbaugh's show. This is what was done with Glen Beck and he's a NOBODY now. The advertisers have a LOT more clout than they are willing to admit.

      Delete

Please take GrammaT's advice; CALL. "All you have to say is that you will NOT buy their product until they call Clear Channel and insist that their ads NOT be used during Limbaugh's show. This is what was done with Glen Beck and he's a NOBODY now. The advertisers have a LOT more clout than they are willing to admit."
Also, leave a few CHOICE WORDS for Limbaugh's CEO, Michael Hogan, for tolerating such crap from Limbaugh for so long, in the name of the almighty dollar.

    1. If you want to regain the business you're about to lose by sponsoring his show, then insist your ads be pulled from his time slot. It's as simple as that. Don't take the cowards way out by simply passing on a message that we've already sent.
      Pull your ads now.

    2. Bill @ProFlowers,

That's great to hear, because I chose to buy a $75 arrangement from another florist today because I learned that your advertising sponsors Rush Limbaugh's show. My mother in law is in the hospital and she's an incredible woman who has worked as a nurse for 30 years. The idea of buying flowers for her with money that would go to a man who foments hatred for women is worse than laughable--it's horrible. I look forward to purchasing from your company again when I learn that you have pulled your ads and will permanently stop advertising on Limbaugh's show.

      Delete
    3. Sleep Train pulled their ads and they now are getting my business in thanks. I think if you pull your ads, we'll see to it that people send themselves flowers of congratulations. We will support you as soon as you can convince us you are no longer propping up Rush with your money by ensuring your ads no longer run on his show.

      Delete
    4. "We do not endorse..." Bill, I don't think that means what you think it means. It's called a paid endorsement for a reason.

      Delete
    5. Bill, thank you for communicating with the producers, as a nurse we tend to get a lot of flowers, after the comment on Rush's show we put up a note where we asked to not use your service due to our feelings regarding Mr Limbaugh's views. As soon as your ads won't appear in connection with RL, we will take that note down!

I don't even know if Rush believes everything he says. But, he knows how to manipulate the mass, And, THAT has made him a millionaire. As long as he's a money maker, or he kills someone. CC will never pull him.

Clear Channel needs a kick to the gut! $$$$ is the only the way to get that done! My boyfriend sends me flowers by Pro flowers, I'm making sure he uses a local Ma & Pa florist from now on, they have my favorite flowers more often anyway! I DON'T WANT FLOWERS FROM SOME STUPID SHOPPE THAT SUPPORTS A WOMAN-HATING PIG LIKE LIMBAUGH! Whether or not Proflowers advertises on the Limbaugh show isn't really the point, the point is if Proflowers' business suffers, they won't use ClearChannel anymore & then Clearchannel suffers & then Limbaugh suffers. Remember, shit rolls down hill! Let's BURY HIM IN IT!

Think "Slimebaugh" -- and then write to everyone you know with a list of his sponsors, tell them to contact these sponsors and inform them they are being boycotted, and then actually carry out the boycott until sponsors demonstrate they are not themselves sexist bigots by ending their sponsorship of this evil man. Thank you for taking the time to contact us. We would like to assure you that we do not endorse the views expressed by Rush Limbaugh. We understand your concerns and we will ensure that your feedback is communicated to the producers of that show. 2. Absolutely. Our Armed Forces Radio has absolutely no business broadcasting hate speech. With statistics that a woman in Iraq was more likely to be sexually assaulted by a fellow soldier than killed by the enemy, it is totally inappropriate for the military to be broadcasting someone who denigrates women the way Lush Dimbulb does. Referring to a woman as a "slut" or a "prostitute" encourages a culture of rape in the military.

    3. Yes, isn't that government-paid-for radio? American tax dollars should not to broadcast his sickness around the world. No wonder so many female service people are raped in the military.

You can boycott advertisers, but you can also boycott Clear Channel. With Internet radio you can listen to a million radio stations. Why listen to the sh*t that ClearChannel spews out? Try Wisconsin Public Radio WERN or WHA or WORT-FM from Madison, Backporch Listener Sponsored. Or KCFW. Or experiment.

    4. I am in full agreement with you. I serve active duty in the United States Military and just got finished sending AFN my comments on the issue. Here it is

      AFN,

I am writing in regards to your sponsorship of Rush Limbaugh. I am a woman proudly serving my country in the armed forces, and cannot express the deep shock and shame I felt when I saw your network listed among those that sponsor and support Rush Limbaugh's show. I cannot fully express how deeply disgraceful it is for a network created for those who defend America's freedom to be in any way be affiliated with a program which produces and promotes hate speech on a near-continuous basis. I have not spoken to a single woman that I serve with who was not deeply disturbed and outraged and the most recent comments on Mr. Limbaugh's show regarding Sandra Fluke's congressional testimony. I know they would be as frustrated as I am to find that your network supports the man, the program, and by extension the remarks that he is making. I noted that you are showing "female empowerment"-themed films for "Women's History Month." Please do us a favor, we don't care how many women-centric films you show if your policies do not reflect these sentiments. You can leave off the films and support us through your actions instead.

  44. What you need to do is be sure to purchase products through the show you support. For most of these companies you put in a "code" when you order (like for Stephanie Miller it's usually Stephanie) and this helps the advertisers track through which show the orders are coming from. If your dollars are coming through Stephanie,Ed,Randi and Thom you are in effect supporting them.

    Mr. Limbaugh,

You have crossed the line with your recent comments about Sandra Fluke and your disgusting command that if a woman get birth control through her employer's health plan that she should post a video.

Really? What planet are you from? It is 2012. Women are not longer possessions or chattel. Women no longer need to be subjugated or relegated to the kitchen or bedroom. Women occupy many levels of management all the way up to CEO.

It is attitudes like yours that set back women's rights 100 years.

You, the man who needs Viagra to get it up - you get your prescription paid for; yet you don't believe that a woman should have that same benefit. You have the nerve to call women who stand up to P.OS. like you "feminazis?" You really are a sorry sack of excrement. I don't normally stoop to your level of hurling insults but there really is not other way to sugarcoat it. You are a disgusting human being.

I am boycotting all of your sponsors (listed in the cc field of this email and through their websites); I will tell my friends to boycott your sponsors and to send them emails why. I will be posting about this and signing every petition possible just to see you off the air. At this point and apology to Ms. Fluke and her fellow students would be moot. An apology to all women that you have insulted with your continued WAR on reproductive rights would be moot. You cannot be allowed to continue to pollute the airwaves with your negative, disingenuous, racist, misogynistic rants.

You saw what happened to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. That is what is going to happen to you. Women and the REAL men who stand with them will see that, at a minimum, you are censored but the ultimate goal will to see you taken of the air. It happened to Beck and it will happen to you.

  62. Just sent a note to Clear Channel:
    Dear Clear Channel-

While I certainly understand the attraction of controversy on the radio (ie."Shock Jocks" - it brings in listeners and thus, potential dollars for advertisers and investors), I have to wonder exactly how far you allow your radio hosts to go outside the boundaries of good taste. Rush Limbaugh's recent misogynist diatribe over one woman's viewpoint on how much it costs women to take birth control pills (and her suggestion that they be covered in health insurance) was so far over the line he was in a completely different zone. I certainly applaud and support my countryman's constitutional right of free speech (and mine not to listen to him because he sickens me), but there are clear limits delineating his rights in that regard. To personally attack a private citizen on the air and slander her is unsupportable. He is clearly violating this woman's constitutional rights and, in case you have not looked, severely angered half of this country's population, to boot. Thus, I and many, many, many others are expressing our outrage at Limbaugh's use of slander and hate speech to gain listeners. And not just to your public relations office, but to the offices of each and every one of Limbaugh's advertisers. Limbaugh's brand of hate is fatuous and puerile, and to not address his behavior is to condone it. Please drop this buffoon's air-polluting talk show from your list and make the airwaves just a little cleaner.

    Many thanks for your time,

    XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX, Ph.D.

  68. and Carbonite has lost my business. Not responding is the same as supporting.

We recently got an email from one of our customers who demanded that we stop advertising on a particular radio program because she did not like the views expressed by the host.
Before we started advertising on radio, I thought about this issue long and hard. I have pretty strong political views myself and I don't agree with some of what I hear on the radio. But nobody is being forced to listen. So I have concluded that I should do what I can as a private individual to support the causes I believe in. But I should not burden my company, my employees, and my investors, with the yoke of my own political positions. In the end, we at Carbonite have an important mission — building the world's greatest backup service. And it's not really for us to parse radicals from reactionaries, believers from atheists, or arrogant from humble. Once you start going down that path, you might as well shutter your business and retire.

Reference your email below - Although the internet is a good source of information, it can also contain much misinformation and have a tendency to propagate falsehoods.

Ten (10) years ago when a new product of ours (Blue-Emu) was launched, we purchased advertising on the radio. The commercials ran on a variety of radio stations and during various times of the day. It is true that some of the time slots were during the Rush Limbaugh show. That was almost 10 years ago and we haven't advertised since then during the times of his radio show. Our most recent marketing campaigns are reaching Americans with Professional Bull Riders, Inc. events and on NBC Sports and CBS Sports Network TV during the PBR events.

The website or location you are getting your information from apparently isn't providing up to date, nor accurate information.

We respectfully request that you contact them with our response and ask them to remove Blue-Emu from their list of Rush Limbaugh advertisers. Especially during these difficult economic times, it is truly unreasonable for persons to boycott an American company with a terrific product for a one-time advertising campaign from ten years ago.

Thank you for contacting us to get our response and for correcting this erroneous information.

  102. I can remember a time when Limbaugh had a prescription drug addiction. I wonder if any of those drugs or his treatment programs were paid for by insurance?

"You know I have always tried to be honest with you and open about my life," Limbaugh said Friday in a prepared statement. "So I need to tell you that part of what you have heard and read is correct. I am addicted to prescription pain medication."

Limbaugh, 52, said he began taking prescription painkillers five or six years ago after undergoing spinal surgery and that he had twice checked himself into medical facilities to try to overcome his addiction.

After consulting with his physician, Limbaugh said, he decided to enter a 30-day treatment program to "once and for all break the hold this highly addictive medication has on me."

  103. According to wikipedia, quicken loans was purchased FROM intuit in 2002 and is no longer affiliated with them. fwiw. So you might not need to dump your turbo tax...

  105. Keep up the great work. I just talked to an Autozone rep and they said they never advertised on Rush Limbaugh's show, but are checking to see if any of their spots aired during his time and will have all advertising pulled from respective stations.

  106. JakeSpoonStill I see American Forces Radio is an advertiser on the slimbags program.I spent 5 yrs in the service during the 60's and am a strong supporter of our milatry,so it saddens me when I read of the high rate of rape occuring to our young milatary woman.anyone think the hate of woman that the slimbag gushes dailey and is taken in by young GI's just might link ?

  107. This is the first thing I have ever gotten involved with like this. I just called or e-mailed almost everyone on the list and told them that they just lost my business and that of my friends and family. Let's get this boil on America's ass off the air! Money talks, and this is the ONLY way people like him listen.

Thank you to Martin Bashir on MSNBC and Krystal Ball for informing me of this movement.

I just received a direct FB message from the Privately held Quicken Loans stating that they have suspended their sponsorship of the program.

  110. Just read that the lady got a very nice phonecall and apology ... from President Obama. Much better than anything that would come out of Rush' mouth.

  111. Really, Rush? Is it really worth saying this crap just so you can win an argument that nobody wants to have, especially with you? And Clear Channel, haven't you done enough trashing the entire radio broadcast industry without putting up with this monster?

And to the sponsors. Nothing from me. Three are still anti-trust laws that mean I still have alternatives to go to, but as long as you back RL, nothing for you.

  112. Thank you for the list and the effort. R. Limbaugh is worse than vile. I will definitely steer clear of his advertisers and attempt to patronize those companies that have pulled their support.

  113. I received this in my email from Credo Action.....
    Sign the petition
    The petition reads:
Pull your advertising from Rush Limbaugh's radio program immediately and permanently. He called a Georgetown Law School student testifying before Congress about women's access to birth control a "slut" and a "prostitute." His reprehensible remarks are an attack on all women, including women who are your customers.
