Patricia Heaton Leads The 2012 War on Women

If every Tweaton {specific Twitter fans} sent Georgetown Gal one condom, her parents wouldn't have to cancel basic cable & she would never reproduce - sound good?

The above listed tweet is, to say the least, an offensive remark for anyone to make. Further, it is the profoundly ill-informed statement of someone who has failed to sufficiently educate themselves on the testimony that Sandra Fluke was recently brave enough to present before congress.  And the genesis of this remark?

Actress Patricia Heaton

Ms. Heaton has long been known as a very conservative individual, which on it's face is not particularly a bad thing. Not a fan of abortion? Don't get one. Anti-gay marriage? Don't get one of those either. Faith prohibits birth control? Then keep contraceptives out of your lily white home.

But this conservative viewpoint has zoomed past the point of being some quietly whispered comment and has transformed into a personalized campaign to smear and slander a young woman. No matter where you are on the political scale, this should be an offense to your sensibilities. Further, it seems that those making the most hateful remarks never even bothered to listen to the testimony. It seems that pre-slander, that this is the first thing you should do.

The #boycottrush campaign, which I have been proud to spearhead, did great work in just three days. As this movement grows, it will now encompass anyone who holds the same boorish and appalling position as Mr. Limbaugh. And that person, we have now discovered, includes

  1. Ugh. Does stupid ever end in the conservative mindset? Truly obnoxious. Thanks for the link.

  2. But you folks are OK with Maher calling Sarah Palin a c*nt and Ed Schultz calling Laura Ingraham a "whore"?

I just want to make sure I'm clear on what you people really are. Aren't you the same one's who called Bush all sorts of vile names? Maybe the same ones who were silent about Clinton's abuse of his position to have sex with an intern? Or maybe the ones who were OK with Barney Frank's "life partner" running a brothel out of Frank's condo? Are you the same folks?

And let's talk cozy with the 1%. You may notice that most of Barry Soetoro's campaign contributions come from Wall Street fat cats (you can check it out at OpenSecrets.org - no conservative lackeys, they. or maybe how Harry Ried became a multimillionaire on the paltry salary of a congressman. How about Nancy Pelosi? If she's not the richest woman in Congress, she's gotta be close.

I KNOW what my politicians are. Do you know what yours are? Do you care about the corruption? Or is the log in your eye obscured by the mote in mine?

Oh, yeah....we're all stupid. Have you anything better than a schoolyard taunt? I'm sure you will write me off as another stupid Republican a$$hole, and that's ok. Don't bother reconsidering your position. Totalitarians always kill their useful idiots first.

Listen up. It's your echo chamber calling.

    1. Bill was wrong for calling Palin a c*nt. C*nts have depth and warmth, neither of which Palin possesses.

    2. A better question: Why aren't the Republicans, tea baggers, and Righties outraged enough to do something about Maher? If I'm outraged, I do something about it. Conservatives are free to start a firestorm against anyone they feel has gone beyond the pale. Don't blame us if we don't take up YOUR cause. Look around. Where is the Republican outrage? Oh, yeah, if it doesn't affect their wallet, they're OK with it.

    3. So you're saying she's right? Any name calling is wrong and doesn't promote finding common ground. Happy? By the way a guy you mentioned is a comedian and the other was punished.

    4. Bill Mahr is a comedian!! Not even in the same category. Ed was wrong. He apologized and his apology was sincere. He does not make a habit of calling people names but most of all he does not use his station to LIE. I am tired of the lies by those who supposedly are "reporting" news and information. The fact that he is misogynistic just adds to the reasoning to get him off the airwaves.

  3. Sounds more like Patricia's sense of humor to me. I never watch The Middle anyway.

    1. Yep, Rush tried to excuse his tirades as an attempt at humor too. NOT FUNNY!

    2. When is it ever humorous to call a woman a 'slut'?? That was just his poor attempt of saving his shows from fleeing advertisers. I'm re-arranging my Wednesday night and boycotting THE MIDDLE (they get the middle finger from me).

  4. it is not just her sense of humor...she is indeed very conservative...and in her last show...seems to me there were some issues with having or not having more kids...sex was for fun on occasion...and I guess she really WILL do anything...even compromise her beliefs...for money...

  5. Egads chill out...another over blown topic by haters. Always liked the lady and a class act. Looking forward to more future work from this fine lady. She's probably thanking all you for the free publicity of her show...LOL.

    1. This is what she tweeted in three tweets:
"Hey G-Town Gal: Plz let us also pay for your Starbucks, movie theater tickets and your favorite hot wings combo deal at KFC! Anything else?"

"Hey G-Town Gal: If your parents have to pay for your birth control, maybe they should get a say in who you sleep with! Instant birth control!"

"If every Tweaton sent Georgetown Gal one condom, her parents wouldn't have to cancel basic cable, & she would never reproduce -- sound good?"

Doesn't sound like a "fine lady" to me. Doesn't sound like a "class act" either. She sounds like an ignorant parrot of the extreme Right who can't think for herself.

    2. Well said!!!!I could not have said it any better! She, in typical rightie form, has no clue what she is talking about- typical of tea-baggin' righties...they are usually dumb as a box of rocks

    3. Also: Hey Repuglicans; this is a lefty blog- shouldn't you be shopping at Wal-Mart, dating relatives, and going to Klan meetings??? What are you doing on this site? It's so admirable of you to jump on here and defend a talentless, plastic surgery filled waste of space- how does this woman manage to get employment??? She is despicable, unintelligent, and a horrible actress, which is why she is relegated to sitcoms, and Lifetime movies.

    4. veggiegirl: You're pretty funny. not very tolerant or kind. But funny. I'll refrain from replying further as it would be as I am not as mean-spirited as your comment shows you to be.

  6. She's always been a dreadful human being without the sense to hide it. Never understood why she keeps being rewarded with employment. Hope it ends soon. She is the one reason I never watched The Middle and why since the start of it I have encouraged others to turn it off as well.

  8. According to the LA Times, Ms. Heaton published the following three (3!) tweets:

"Hey G-Town Gal: Plz let us also pay for your Starbucks, movie theater tickets and your favorite hot wings combo deal at KFC! Anything else?"

"Hey G-Town Gal: If your parents have to pay for your birth control, maybe they should get a say in who you sleep with! Instant birth control!"

"If every Tweaton sent Georgetown Gal one condom, her parents wouldn't have to cancel basic cable, & she would never reproduce -- sound good?"

She apologized but not before revealing her true self. She's an extreme Rightist and a Limbaugh supporter who accepts everything he says without question and is incapable of thinking for herself or doing a little independent research.

    1. Very well said. Her tweets make me ill. Shame on her. She is a terrible role model for a parent.

  9. Time to make Patricia Heaton unemployed so she knows what it feels like to not be able to afford insurance. I too lost an ovary because of cysts. I too was treated with birth control pills until I was unemployed and had to decide whether to pay for medicine or keep a roof over my head. Patricia needs to learn about the real choices average people make every day that compromise their health. She needs to use the brain God gave her instead of catering too and parroting the insults of someone like Rush Limbaugh. The Middle should lose Patricia Heaton. I hope her comments don't bring hardship on her co-workers but a lot of people are telling me they are tuning out until she is gone. And we all know why she apologized. The show didn't like the negative publicity and her pocketbook was threatened. She said it and she meant it until it jeopardized her income. So much for principles.

  10. I am from Canada. I know it probably wouldn't make much of a difference by me not watching "The Middle", which I admit I do follow regularly. But after learning about what this uneducated b***h said and did, I decide not to watch the show anymore even though she isn't even remotely my favorite character on the show. I wonder how someone like Ray Romano, a well-known atheist and a liberal, could have put up with her sh*t all those years.

  11. I would like a list of the sponsors of the show.Does anyone have one? I would like to email them and tell them why I will also be boycotting their products.

  12. For someone who plays a hip, cool, liberal mom on TV, potty-mouth Patty needs to shut her trap. I cannot possibly watch this show again knowing that I will be supporting her if I do. Hell, I may just watch one last time to keep note of all the ADVERTISERS and start a boycotting campaign!!

  13. I would like to know if Ms Heaton even listend to Sandra Flukes testimony, or just repeated what R. L. misinformed his listeners about. Her tweets seem to indicate that she is miguided by his statements.

The Middle is off of our Wednesday Night List also. Very disappointed in this woman's takedown of another woman without knowing the facts.

Terrible role model for her sons. Hopefully she is not raising her 4 boys to treat women in the same manner as Mr. RL

  14. Thank god you're posting about this. I was really pissed about how Rush is setting out a call against this girl, without knowing anything of her testimony. I hope you don't mind, I linked the testimony from Sandra Fluke that you posted to my own blog, but gave you props. If you would like me to remove it, just give a shout! : )
